The Qianlong Emperor was particularly fond of cloisonn/ae and large numbers of garnitures and single objects populated the countless halls, altars and chambers of his palaces. The seal script hall mark at the side of the censer denotes the hall within one of the Imperial palaces was to be placed. Fu Zhen Tang may be translated as the 'Hall of Prosperity and Truth'.
