A PAIR OF CARVED HARDWOOD STANDS WITH FAMILLE ROSE INSETS
19th century
Each carved standing on a square frame, the cabriole legs ending in ruyi terminals, the shaped and waisted apron with archaistic motifs and monster-masks carved at the four corners, between minor lappet and key-fret bands around the rim, the inset top with a fruiting peach sprig roundel to the centre encircled with the Eight Buddhist emblems amidst a lotus meander, all reserved on a green ground, framed with a band with confronted dragons and lingzhi, minor damage
