Carved as a large mognolia blossom issuing from entwined flowering lush foliage, including blossoming magnolia, bamboo, pine, a procession of figures clambering up the steep mountain paths towards a walled pavilion, featuring a lady in a sedan chair and an old man on a mule accompanied by their fan-bearing attendants, another group hunting an elephant and others simply conversing, the horn of a warm pale caramel to deep brown tone with light honey veining, few age cracks and minor chips restuck
25 in. (64.8 cm.) high, carved and pierced wood stand
