Depicting Tajikara-o no Mikoto pulling back the rocky door behind which Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess, has been hiding from the world, the other with Amaterasu and an attendant in a rocky landscape, finely carved in high and low relief and stained details, the wood base decorated in gold hiramaki-e and coloured inlays with flowers and foliage, some age cracks, with minor inlay missing
