Meiji Period (Late 19th Century)
Decorated in iron-red, green, blue, black and yellow enamels and gilt with a ho-o bird spreading its wings in flight over sprays of chrysanthemums, grass and flowers, the rim finely moulded with pine and plum trees growing among rocks, the reverse with three sprays of blossoming bamboo, slight chips
