Decorated in gold, silver and coloured lacquer, gold powder and inlay with Rosei lying asleep beneath ivy, a fan covering his face, the reverse with peonies emerging from rocks and two butterflies, the interior in polished black lacquer, the lower case divided into four sections, the ojime in cloisonn enamel with a three clawed dragon and flaming pearl, minute chip to interior
