The severe russet iron mask in the style of the Yoshi Ryu with smooth cheeks fitted with standing flanges and a small straight nose the upper lip riveted on, the nose made detachable by simple hinges, the twisted wire pegs for the helmet cord beneath the chin, the interior lacquered red, a five lame solid plate throat defence black lacquered and laced with spaced dark blue lacing
