The helmet in iron of basic three plate hineno form covered in black bear fur, the peak russet lacquered, wakidate [side crests] in the form of ears red lacquered on the inside and bear fur on the back, the maedate [forecrest] depicts the wheel of the law in gilded wood, probably associated, shikoro [neck guard] of five lame of iron kiritsuke kozane [imitation lamellae] laced in dark blue spaced lacing matching the rest of the armour, lower plate trimmed with bear fur, black lacquered iron Nara-style mask of good form with short hair moustache and chin tuft, four lame yodarekake [throat defence] of iron kiritsuke kozane; the do of nimai yokohagi [two piece horizontal construction] form with a distinct medial ridge in black lacquered iron, bracket and pad for the sashimono [little banner] on the back, the kusazuri [tassets] of six sections of black lacquered leather kiritsuke kozane, matching iron kosode [small shoulder guards], black lacquered iron ikada gote [sleeves], black lacquered leather kawara haidate [thigh guards], good quality black lacquered iron Bishamon suneate [shin guards] and a pair of black lacquered iron kogake [foot protectors], together with two armour boxes, black lacquered with a gold lacquered mon [badge], some old damage and wear
