Lot Essay

The sitter was the daughter of Franois-Edmond-Nompar, Comte de Caumont La Force (1794-1832) and his wife Catherine Princess Galitzin. The sister of the 9th Duc de La Force, she married Louis-Michel-Phbus-Vincent, Marquis de Terzi, himself the son of a Princess Galitzin.
