Cushion-shaped case with domed sides, the gold body enamelled in opaque black, the cover applied with a pierced and carved jade panel depicting a bird with flowers with a rose-cut diamond surround, the right-hand side covered by rose-cut diamonds and topped by a suspension ring, with matching pushpieces, the inside fitted with a hinged mirror, notice tablet, pencil, lipstick holder and powder compartment
