Rectangular box of pocket-fitting shape with concave cover, covex base and rounded sides, the rectangular panels on cover and base engine-turned with a peacock feathers pattern, the frosted gold sides stamped with anthemia, scrolling foliage, acorn and flowers within burnished gold stripes, horizontal hinge and thumbpiece engraved with foliage; in original gilt-stamped red morocco case lined with white silk and plush
