Slightly tapering glass case of rectangular section with arched ends, underlaid with red sealing wax to simulate red hardstone, the hinge at the long side, the borders overlaid with a chased and repouss pierced foliate scroll gold cagework, the lower border of the cover enamelled in white with taille d'pargne gold inscription "GAGE DE MA TEN DRESSE", red stone-set pushpiece
