A young lady, facing right in low-cut light green dress with white lace bordered gauze fichu and pink bow at corsage, her grey-powdered upswept hair dressed in curls and adorned with flowers, white lace and a pink ribbon
signed and dated 'Vestier fecit 1777/82' (mid-right)
oval, 1 in. (45 mm.) high, gold mount stamped with a wavescroll border, set on the front side of the base of a white Louis XVI carnet-de-bal with wavescroll-bordered gold mounts by the Parisian goldsmith Guillaume-Denis Delamotte (1724 - after 1793), marked, Paris 1776/1777, with the charge and discharge marks of Jean-Baptiste Fouache (3 in. 83 mm. high)
