A PAIR OF FRENCH ORMOLU TABLE CENTRES

Each with pierced baskets and everted rim issuing stiff-leaf moulded candlebranches above a flowerhead and leaf-cast collar with a lotus leaf-cast underside supported by a fluted and stiff-leaf cast central columnar support, flanked by three addorsed figures personified as Bacchus, Flora and Ceres on a circular plinth hung with fruiting vines and classical emblems on a stiff-leaf moulded lower edge, one signed to the base 'THOMIRE PARIS', on later simulated marble and giltwood pedestals
