In the present work, the fusion of brilliantly coloured geometric and calligraphic lines suggests the configuration of the stars. In his biography of the artist, parker Tyler writes: "I could not forget that Tchelitchew's imagination was dominated by Astrology and that the Earthly and Celestial Globes of antiquity had proven, throughout his career, the two indepensable emblems of his plastic vision."
