linocut, 1947, on Johannot wove paper, title, text, justification and one linocut, signed in pencil, inscribed and numbered 'HC 14/15', the justification signed in pen and blue ink by the author, numbered 14, one of fifteen hors commerce copies aside from the edition of 65 including the linocut (there was also an unsigned edition of 1200 without the linocut), the full sheets as published, the print with margins and a deckle edge at the bottom, pale residual foxing and two pale stains on the reverse, otherwise in good condition, the title page and print loose, some of the leaves with minor foxing at the extreme right edges, bound in cream paper wrapper in protective tissue with title, author's and publisher's names printed in black and red on front, title and author's name printed in black on spine, a pale stain on the reverse, generally in good condition(book)
