Windmhle
Details
Emil Nolde (1867-1956)
Windmhle
lithograph printed in deep turquoise, two deep tones of blue, 1913, on Japan, a very fine, rich impression of this extremely rare print, the boldly applied colours strong and fresh, signed and titled in pencil, inscribed 'Probedruck', presumably a unique impression printed in these colours (Schiefler records a numbered edition of twelve in two colours and a total of only sixteen impressions, each printed in a different colour combination), printed to the edges of the sheet, very pale light-staining, two small areas of residual mounting at the right sheet edge, a rubbed area at the upper left corner, laid at the reverse sheet edges, otherwise generally in very good condition, framed
L., S. 570 x 709mm.
