Comprising six various glass bottles, four small circular jars, four various oblong boxes, an oblong vesta box and an oblong inkwell, each with cut-glass bodies and silver-gilt covers, engraved with foliate scrolls and strapwork, each with circular cartouche engraved with the cypher MDL, a detachable tray with a medicine spoon, corkscrew, bodkin, and mother-of-pearl mounted boot hook and penknife, with associated steel boot hook, marked on covers, all in burr-walnut brass bound travelling case with recessed bracket handles, the blue velvet lined interior, the cover with mirror and document wallet, stamped 'EDWARDS, MANUFACTURES TO HER MAJESTY, 21 KING ST, BLOOMSBURY, LONDON' the exterior with the cypher MDL
