Oval, the lower part of the body with a chased band of water leaves, the body with framed panels, the upper part with a band of running scrolls on a matted ground, the sides with detachable ribbon-tied vine cartouche later engraved with a monogram JDG, with shaped moulded rim and two vine-capped handles with acanthus leaf terminals, marked on base, engraved with scratchweights 'No 2 9.mr 1 Lt. 3 yr. 1g' and cypher
