The body embossed with an allegory of Autumn representing a group of four lightly draped women and three young men, one sleeping, one bearing a basket on his back to collect grapes, and the third with a basket on a stick over his shoulder, the left arm on a barrel, all in a wooded landscape, the gilt mount embossed with flowers, the cover embossed in the center with a circular plaque representing Bacchus as a child sitting on a barrel, a naked woman beside him holding a basket of fruit in a wooded landscape, with double silver-gilt pomegranate thumbpiece, the scroll handle cast and chased in the auricular style, with silver-gilt sleeve liner, marked on foot rim and side
