A closely related giltwood chair was carved by Lucia Landucci for the Stanza di Unterbergher, in the Villa Borghese, Rome, in 1784 (A. Gonzlez-Palacios, Il Gusto dei Principi Arte di Corte del XVII e del XVIII Secolo, Milan, 1993, p. 238, fig. 475). A painted side chair related to the one executed for the Villa Borghese, but simpler, is illustrated in G. Lizzani, Il Mobile Romano, Milan, 1970, p. 102, no. 174.
