Connected, in reverse, to an angel in the upper right corner of a Nativity formerly in the W.E. McConnell Collection in Stocksfield, Northumberland, I. Chiappini Di Sorio in I Pittori Bergameschi, il Seicento, Bergamo, 1983, I, p. 170, fig. 4. Another version of this drawing, less free and squared, is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, J. Bean, 15th and 16th Century Italian Drawings in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 1982, no. 225, illustrated. The angel in the McConnell picture may be based on a counterproof of the New York drawing.
