King Louis XV giving Peace to Europe, after Franois Le Moyne

A study for the print by Cars after Le Moyne's picture of 1729 painted for the Salon de la Paix at Versailles, J.-L. Bordeaux, Franois Le Moyne and his generation, Paris, 1984, no. 76. Pierre-Jean Mariette mentions Cars' print as having been executed in 1730. The print was published by Jolly, rue des Cordellier, and the plate is now at the Chalcographie in the Louvre.
