GOANESE, 18TH OR 19TH CENTURY

The present piece is unusual for its large size. A similar example, also large and featuring the typical Goanese beading on the edges of the perizonium and the clearly delineated veins, was sold in these Rooms (Christie's, 4 July 1995, lot 2).
