Gillows of Lancaster and London supplied a set of dining-chairs with the same incised scrolling anthemions winding up the stiles to flank a concave-sided tablet, to Belton House, Lincolnshire. The chairs were sold by Lord Brownlow, Belton House, Christie's house sale, 30 April-2 May 1984, lot 55 and again by Christopher Cowlin, Esq., Lyegrove, Badminton, Avon, Christie's house sale, 26 September 1988, lot 113. The Brownlow chairs also had the same heavily-reeded legs.
