Each with a curved backscrolled tablet toprail above padded back, sides and seat covered in dark-red leather with reeded arm-supports ending in scrolls with patera and foliage, above a panelled seat-rail with laurel, on sabre legs headed by oval patera and entrelac trails, brass caps and castors, the castors on one chair stamped 'COPE', the sides and backrails solid rosewood, the other chair with later caps and modern bun feet, lacking five oval paterae and the centre of one apron mount, two feet spliced (2)
