A FAON-DE-VENISE 'ICE-GLASS' BEAKER
Late 16th/early 17th Century, probably Southern Netherlands
Of flared form applied with three richly-gilt lion's masks alternating with three prunts, the interior and exterior to the rim gilt with a wide band, the foot with an applied milled footring and with shallow kick-in base (re-gilt at a later date)
8 in. (21.5 cm.) high
