With slightly convex leather body covered with embroidered blue velvet on the inside and with silver on the front and bottom, the front decorated with scrolls and beadwork in relief on a punched ground, carrying ten cylindrical figured Circassian walnut cartridges each with ivory mouth and silver base, the latter with decorative bands and turned finial, complete with black leather strap with nielloed mounts (one end now detached), St. Petersburg silver marks, unrecorded workmaster's initials IN
