A 25-Bore Wheel-Lock Musket
Circa 1640, probably Dutch
With swamped octagonal sighted barrel (back-sight missing) stamped at the breech with the initials 'TK' and twice with a small mark, an eagle (similar to Neue Stckel 1560), flat lock with pierced curved wheel-bracket to the rear of the wheel, and manually operated pan-cover, full stock, faceted fish-tail butt, iron mounts (trigger-guard replaced), safety-catch behind the trigger, and associated horn-tipped ramrod (incomplete)
