With blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved with the retailer's name and address 'Cogswell & Harrison, 223 & 224 Strand, London' along the narrow top flat, the top-strap with sighting groove, case-hardened cylinder, blued border engraved frame with loading-gate, bright hammer, blued arbor pin and arbor pin catch, blued trigger-guard, chequered walnut butt, case-hardened butt-cap with lanyard-ring, and much original finish (some flaking throughout): in original lined and fitted oak case, the lid with trade label of Cogswell & Harrison, Gunmakers, London, Birmingham proof marks
