Bin-soiled labels, stained and slightly torn. Levels: two very top-shoulder and three top-shoulder
Tasting note: Excellent but distinctly different in character and flavour to the first growth Mdocs. Medium-deep, lively centre yet almost amber rim; strange coffee, chocolate, earthy, hot-pebbles fragrance, uniquely Haut-Brion; distinctly sweet with singed, earthy, bracken tobacco-like flavour, lovely texture, elegance and length.
