Chassis build cards confirm its original specification to have included fully automatic aerial, plain Sundym glass to the windscreen, full colonial suspension, Reutter front seats and wool rug to the rear. The car returned to the UK in 1969 being sold to Earl Dudley Vandekar. The present owner purchased the car some ten years ago and kept it in London for a short while before importing it to Switzerland; at that time he converted the speedometer to kilometers and had the reading adjusted also to represent its total use. He is therefore able to confirm that the present indicated figure of 85,000km is correct from new. The vendor has kept it regularly maintained with recent work including the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust system, and new battery. For many years the Rolls-Royce garage in Lausanne looked after the car, and they were responsible for repainting it in the original shell grey livery. The interior, appointed in grey leather and trim, is equipped with arm rests to the individual front seats and rear bench seat, pencil beam lights for the rear seats as well as ashtrays/cigarette lighters. Air conditioning and a modern Blaupunkt stereo is fitted. A relatively low mileage car with few owners, the condition is commensurate with this age and the paintwork now has some scratches and minor areas of corrosion. When inspected by Christie's the car started easily and ran well, and the electrics were operational. It is Swiss registered and comes with copies of the chassis records.
