Vacheron & Constantin confirm the production of this watch in 1930 and subsequent sale to the famous watchmaker Edmond Jaeger in Paris in 1939 who most likely bought it for his client Herms. It is thought to be the only watch of this kind being retailed by Herms.

This particular watch is illustrated in Armbanduhren by Giampiero Negretti Franco Nencini, p. 291.
