naturalistically modelled on an oval nest, its plumage enriched in shades of purple and brick-red, the basket weave nest applied with straw and flowerheads, the interior painted with a sprig of leaves, the interior of the tureen and the cover painted with the numeral 8, circa 1760 (some chips and cracks) -- 19.5cm. long
