Each album is devoted to one or two sitters with portraits following them from their earliest years, through life towards the end of the century including portraits of Prince Albert Edward (later Edward VII) and Princess Alexandra; Princess Alice; Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh; Princess Helena; Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught; Princess Beatrice and Princess Louise and in most cases their partners.
