each side moulded with portrait bust, probably of the Duke of Cumberland, in profile to the left above a satyr's mask issuing scrolling leaves and flowers, below beaded arches, the sides fluted, enriched in a typical palette, circa 1790 (cover lacking, some minor flakes and staining) -- 16.5cm. high See illustration
