An English creamware transfer-printed oviform jug
probably Herculaneum, printed with a half-length portrait of the Duke of Wellington within an oval panel above military trophies, titled The Duke of Wellington. K.B. & c. & c., the reverse with a portrait of George III celebrating the 51st year of his reign, named for MARY HOCKIN within a wreath, circa 1815 (some scratches, flaking to enamels and footrim chip) -- 20.5cm. high
