A hand-coloured engraved pictoral representation of the dispositions of the British Fleet at the Battle of Vigo, 12th October 1702
entitled An Exact Draught of the BAY and HARBOUR of VIGO. For Mr. Tindall's Continuation of Mr. Rapin's History of England, drawn up to a scale of 1in.:1 mile and showing the bay and harbour with surrounding hills, schematic representations of the town of Vigop and other habitations, many ships shown in the bay and the harbour, several named, several keyed to an explanatory panel detailing their commanders and significant movements and further marked J Bafire Sculp., the mouth of the bay with a compass, and labelled The mouth of the River Vigo near the Ifland of Bajona, where Admiral Shovell of the White Flagg with his squadron, came at Anchor ye 12 of Oct.1702 (crease down the centre, some staining along top and bottom edges, spreading around the crease, tears to the edges, tape repairs to top and bottom back) -- 22 x 17in.
