A partially planked, rigged model of the Royal Naval topsail schooner Sultana (1768)
with masts, spars with footropes, standing and running rigging, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, bitts, belaying rails and pins, stove pipe, windlass, grating, bilge pump, hatch, ship's boat, chart locker, tiller, deck rails and swivel guns and other details. The hull, planked and pinned above the waterline, the main whale in contrasting wood revealing frames and with some deck planking left off to reveal the planked lower deck is finished in matt varnish with stern and quarter windows and mounted on two wooded columns -- 20 x 24in.
