A planked and framed rigged model of the Royal Yacht Caroline (1749)
built by B.P. Foote with bound masts, yards, standing and running rigging, painted figurehead, hair rails, anchors, catheads, bitts, belaying rails and pins, bell, companionways, grating, capstan, main saloon with glazed windows, deck light, tiller, stern lanterns, eight guns in carriages with tackle, ship's barge with bottom boards thwarts and oars in chocks and other details, finished in white, varnish and blue with much 'gilded' decoration, wood stand and plexiglass cover. Measurements overall -- 49 x 35in. (124.5 x 89cm.)
