A well presented fully rigged and planked model of Captain Cook's ship Endeavour (1764)
With bound masts, yards standing and running rigging and full suit of stitched linen sails, anchor with bound wooden stocks, catheads, bitts, belaying rails and pius, ship's bell, windlass, deck rails, gratings, guns in carriages, ships boat with bottom boards and thwarts in chocks, capstan, swivel guns, decorated transom, stern and quarter windows, finished in varnish and black and mounted on two turned brass columns -- 27 x 30in. (69.8 x 76.2cm.) Inlaid display base and brass bound glazed case
