Well detailed and finished 1.48 scale fully rigged and partially planked model of the trading ship (Collier) Bethia (later H.M.S. Bounty)
built by M.Puttock with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, and foot ropes, standing and running rigging, painted female figurehead, hair rails, anchors with metal bound stocks, catheads, bitts, belaying rails and pins, gratings, stove pipe, windlass, companionways, clinker built ship's boat with bottom boards, thwarts and oars in chocks, bilge pump, deck rings, capstan, helm and tiller and other details. The hull, planked and pinned above the waterline with trenals revealing frames and keel construction and with finely planked and pinned deck, has glazed quarter cabin and stern windows and stern lanterns, finished in natural wood and mounted on two turned brass columns -- 28 x 38in. (71.2 x 96.5cm.) Display base with legend.
