A finely carved teak and mahogany display model of the American Racing Speedboat Dixie II (1908)
with external details including cleats, forehatch, air intake, engine covers and exhaust stacks, cockpit with steering wheel with steel cable and guides, instruments, two leather covered bench seats, aft hatch. The hull, of sandwich construction, with single shaft, three blade propellor and rudder is finished in green, 'gold' and matt varnish. Mounted on two turned brass columns, display base -- 15 x 74in. (40 x 188cm.)
