A Royal Navy Three-decker running to the Aid of a dismasted Frenchman

A note on the reverse of the frame states that this picture shows the morning after the Battle of Trafalgar; a more likely subject, however, would appear to be a scene from the Crimean War (1854-1856) when the French and British fought together as allies.
