The Mary Winch, 252 tons, was built at Pwllheli (North Wales) in 1844 and owned by Melhuish of Liverpool. Starting life as a coaster, she soon began trading further afield and numbered both South America and Africa among her destinations until she disappears from record in the early 1860's.
