Susanne, a schooner of 135 tonnes, was built in Glasgow by A. Inglis in 1904. She was 94 feet long and carried 12,000 square feet of sail. In 1905, she was the winner of the Emperor's Cup. She frequently raced against Germania, Meteor, Cicely and Cetonia.
Cetonia, a schooner of 295 tonnes, was designed by J.M. Soper for the New York magnet S.M. Singer and sailed for many years under the ownership of Lord Iveagh. She was built by Camper & Nicholson in 1902 and carried 11,000 square feet of canvas.
Britannia, perhaps the most famous yacht of all, was owned by H.M. King Edward VII. She was built in 1893 by D. & W. Henderson.
Seafoam, 295 tonnes, was a three masted auxiliary top sail schooner. Designed by Camper & Nicholson, circa 1905, and 122 feet overall, she carried a crew of around 50.
Bloodhound, 140 tonnes, was built by William Fife, Jun. in 1874 for the Marquis of Ailsa. After winning 143 out of 217 races, she tragically caught fire in Southampton in 1922. The Royal Yacht Squadron still exhibits her mast as the main flagstaff.
