A set of four ivory counter boxes
for the French game of quadrille, each polychrome stained and engraved with figures in the attitude of the dance, the lids with circular, rotating score markers, the interiors with maker's name, Marianne Le Jeune Paris Fecit, and counters of various shapes, each box -- 8cm. long, contained in an outer shagreen carrying case, French, late 17th/early 18th century.
