Late 19th century Cobbett bat with straight face and rounded back, stamped with the Cobbett name on the upper portion of the straight face, signed by a W. E. Roller again on the straight face.
Cobbett died at the age thirty eight in 1842. The workshops that made the bat with his name w here based near the Lord's ground. Cobbett lived in Surrey so one could easily speculate if he had much to do with the running of the business or had given only his name to the business.
