Rhodes exploits are still legendary in Yorkshire. As a slow left arm bowler he captured the enormous haul of 4,187 wickets. He played for England 58 times taking 127 wickets at 26.96 and also scoring over two thousand runs at an average of 30.19. He first played for England in 1899 at Trent Bridge against the Australians, and his last Test match was at the Oval in 1926.
