A Steiff teddy bear
with apricot mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced snout, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, long jointed shaped limbs, felt pads, foot pads backed with felt (red on right foot, black on left) and hump --19in. (48cm.) tall, circa 1908 (lacks button, slight wear to foot pads exposing felt lining, small split to left ankle, stuffing shifted from neck and upper arms, slight overall wear and loss of original colour); a studio photograph of original owner as a young girl with this teddy bear; and a copy of an ink drawing of the Union Station, Portland, Maine, built in 1881, demolished in 1961, where this teddy bear was purchased
